FAQ
Good questions
How many bins do I need?
As a rough guide: 30 for a studio or 1 bedroom, 45 for 2 bedrooms, 65 for 3 bedrooms and 85 for 4+. Packing heavy stuff like books? Add some small bins. Lots of linens and pillows? Add large ones. The minimum order is 15 bins for 1 week.
What if I need the bins longer?
Keep them as long as you need. Each extra week is billed at the extra-week rate for your bin sizes. Returns get a 2-day grace period after the due date.
Do you do one-way and long-distance moves?
Yes. We deliver and pick up anywhere within 200 miles of Raleigh, and each address is priced by its own zone. From farther away, or to save on a long pickup trip, you can ship the bins back on a pallet. We send the supplies and book the freight carrier.
How does ship-back work?
Empty bins nest together, so up to about 75 fit on one pallet. You stack and shrink-wrap them with the supplies we provide, and a freight carrier brings them back to Raleigh. It's $175–$275 per pallet depending on zone. Orders under 30 bins can ship back by parcel at $6 per bin.
Can I return the bins myself?
Yes. Drop them off at our Raleigh storage unit by appointment. You'll pay no pickup fee and get $10 off your order.
Are the bins clean?
Every bin is counted, inspected and sanitized when it comes back, before it goes out to the next customer.
Is there a deposit?
We keep a card on file for every order. Zone 3–5 and ship-back orders also have a $100 refundable deposit.
What if a bin gets damaged or lost?
We count and inspect bins within 2 business days of return and send you an itemized report before any charge. Fees apply only for bins that come back broken or not at all. See the fee table.
Can you deliver same-day or on a weekend?
Often, yes. Same-day or weekend service adds $50 per trip. Please make sure someone is there to receive or release the bins. A wasted trip costs $50 in Zones 1–2 and the full trip fee in Zones 3–5.
